Web 2.Oops

The web host I use for hosting this website, Dreamhost, recently released an updated, Web 2.0-ish control panel. It’s definitely an improvement over the previous design, but something struck me funny about it and I finally remembered what it was.

Hmmm.. Dreamhost’s control panel looks vaguely familiar to Midphase’s. :D

    I think DreamHost did it first, but MidPhase constructed an elaborate time machine in order to go forward in time, steal the site design, and then go back a year or two and implement it on their own site. I will say here and now that I have never seen a web hosting company sink to such sneaky depths as time-traveling in order to RIP OFF another host! Shame!

    The sad, yet kind of funny part about this is that Midphase’s actually looks nicer.

    I mean, I won’t be switching anytime soon, but it would be nice if Dreamhost hired a real designer to work full time on their products.

    if it’s the same Nate I know, that might be a shameless plug… maybe :P

    same idea it seems but the looks and perhaps the implementation (not mentioning how it works, I got no idea) is different.

    one thing, that SS on MP’s panel reminds me of cPanel… organization-wise… which makes it kind of not original in itself…

    And it is cPanel at MidPhase.
